Unique Box Elder Cookie Charcuterie Board - Distinctive Shape Textures

This is a one of a kind piece made from beautiful box elder. This is a great free flowing shape from a Box Elder Cookie or round. This piece was in rough shape when I picked it up and was likely destined for a burn pile at some point. For the build I stabilized all of the wood with a penetrating resin. Once the wood was stabilized all surfaces were sanded smooth and then a final finish was applied.
The wood has a hand rubbed finish with Odie's Oil and Odie's Wood Butter to protect the wood, make it pop, and still feel like wood not plastic. The bottom of this charcuterie tray has 4 feet to keep it in place and to protect your surfaces.
Look at the pictures and see the incredible reds and the unique greys in the grain patterns of the box elder. That is not stain, that is the wood. Look at the inclusions and the sides of the board and it really tells the life of this tree. Quite wonderful.
As I said this is a one of a kind item, hard to recreate those grain patterns.
