Choose one of the methods below. Please do not use any strong cleaners as this can damage the finish. Also it is best to clean up any spills promptly to protect the finish.

  • Use a clean damp rag to wipe the surface and dry.

  • Use soapy water with a mild dish soap, wipe down the wood then then rinse off the suds, wipe it dry, do not air dry.

How to maintain or restore your finish

There is not much needed on this finish. Should you desire you can add a small amount of butcher block conditioner rub into the surface, and then throughly remove all residue with a clean rag. This is not required or needed often, but is an option for you.

Should your finish become damaged or scratched you can reapply a clear enamel spray coat. To do this you should remove all hardware from the item. Then it will need to be completly cleaned using a good degreaser, I would recommend Simple Green for this. After it is cleaned you can then lightly sand the surface with 400 grit sandpaper to remove any imperfections. Once the surface is to your satisfaction, wipe it clean and then apply several light coats of clear gloss enamel spray.

If the damage is more extensive let me know and I will advise on what steps to take.

The resin in the bottles provides strength and stability, but they can crack or break if dropped.

The bottles are dipped in polyurethane to protect the labels. If this finish wears overtime and you wish you can reapply by throughly cleaning the bottles, redipping, and allowing to drip dry for 24 hours, taking care to wipe off any drips from the bottom after a couple of hours.

Wall Mounted Bottle Openers, Beer Skins

These are not designed for outdoor use, the finish will not hold up to UV or sustained wet conditions. The finish will hold up to opening many bottles.

The only maintenance is to wipe them clean with a damp rag and dry.

Beer Can Bottle Openers

These cans are filled with a combination of plaster and resin to provide a solid strong fill. The can should just be cleaned with a damp rag and dryed. If they are dropped they may sustain dents or other damage. As they are very heavy take care that they do not damage anything by being dropped.
