Shot Glass Display and Flight, Bottle Display, Carved Maryland Blue Crab, with Small Resin River Solid Shedua
Introduction
A compact shot glass flight and bottle display board handcrafted from solid Shedua — an exotic African hardwood with deep, beautiful grain and just enough natural character marks to make it feel genuinely real. At 9.5" × 6.25" × 5/8", it holds two shot glasses in black resin-lined recesses with space to display a bottle alongside them. What sets it apart: a carved Maryland blue crab filled with blue epoxy resin, and a copper epoxy resin river running down the center of the board. A small piece with a lot to look at.

Handmade in Maryland
Every BCN Woodcrafts piece is individually crafted and finished in our Maryland workshop. Shedua — also known as Amazique, Ovangkol, or Mozambique depending on where it's being sold — is an African hardwood that doesn't get the attention it deserves. Its deep, complex grain and natural occlusions give it a character that more familiar woods can't replicate. The carved crab and dual resin work on this board make it one of our most detailed small pieces.
Real Wood Feels Better.
Care & Maintenance
Hand wash only — do not soak or put in the dishwasher. Dry immediately after use. Occasional reapplication of Odie's Oil or a food-safe wood butter will maintain the finish.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Shedua wood? Shedua (also sold as Amazique, Ovangkol, or Mozambique) is an African hardwood with deep, complex grain and natural character marks — occlusions and figure that give it a look no two boards share exactly.
What does the resin river look like? A small copper epoxy resin river runs down the center of the board — see product photos for detail. The copper tone contrasts well against Shedua's warm golden-brown grain.
What is the blue crab carving? The Maryland blue crab is carved (not just engraved) into the surface of the board and filled with blue epoxy resin, giving it color and dimension.
Is the finish food safe? Yes — finished with Odie's Oil and Odie's Wood Butter, both food-safe products that protect the wood while maintaining its natural look and feel.
Can I get a custom resin color or engraving? This board features a fixed design. For a custom piece, contact us to discuss options.
Where is it made? Handcrafted by BCN Woodcrafts in Maryland, USA.
